UMass Lowell Spearheads New Fire Resistive Paint Technology
The University of Massachusetts Lowell has a reputation for being on the cutting edge and we’re not talking about their Hockey East Division I River Hawks. We’re talking about their willingness to advance and use new technology. For example, they are moving ahead with a new $80 million dollar nanotechnology center. It will be high tech partnership between the University and the Nanotech Industry. Another partnership taking hold with The University is one that includes Bradford Industries. Umass Lowell will be working closely with the newly developed fire resistant coating division of Bradford. The plan is to balance the fire protection throughout the whole campus using a new 2nd generation fire resistant paint developed by Bradford Industries.
UMass Lowell’s Rich Lemoine is the driving force behind the new enhanced fire protection strategy. Rich has twenty years experience as the Director of Environmental Health & Safety.
